The practice of sports is very recommendable for most of the people and in the case of teenagers, is twice important. It will not only help to develop an organism in good conditions which is so important but it will also prevent bad habits such as consuming drugs, tobacco and alcohol. This also has ADVANTAGES and DISADVANTAGES.

IT HELPS TO MODEL YOUR CHARACTER: It shows you the importance of being disciplined, being constant, and making efforts. Teaches you that competence is very important when practicing sports because in this way, teenagers learn to enjoy victory as well as get strong with defeats.
FRIENDSHIP: Playing sports enables you to create friendships you otherwise would not develop.
FAMILY: As a teen, it is not always easy to find time to spend with your parents. Sports give you and your parents time to appreciate one another.
COACHES: Positive coaching helps to bring the team together, and gives players the right tools to push themselves academically and physically
SCHOOL: The sports force you to organize your time so that you can both go to practice and finish your homework. The key is finding a balance; if you can learn how to organize your time then you will succeed in both.
LEADERSHIP SKILLS: Sports teams give you the opportunity to surround yourself with competitive people and role models, and learn from them both. You can demonstrate your own leadership through team captainships and individual actions to improve your team’s success.

LONG-TERM LOVE OF SPORTS: If the middle-school students are subjected to intense competition, this could diminish the possibility that they´ll enjoy sports as high school students or adults. Regimented practices, the pressure to win and lack of physical readiness for the demands of the sport can all result in a young person deciding that he doesn’t like participating in sports.
INJURIES: When you are playing a sport, you are exposed to get injured, like having broken bones, scratches, beaten body, etc. These injuries could affect you in your daily life activities.
KILLER COMPETITION: Although some middle-school sport programs are structured to promote safe, healthy interaction between individual players and teams, not every program promotes such values. Highly competitive programs can emphasize winning over teamwork, making team players feel devaluated or embarrassed if they don’t win. Additionally, overly competitive programs might aggressively screen potential team players, making it difficult or impossible for middle school students new to the sport to join the team and have a positive experience.

My conclusion for the theme of sports is that, the sports are activities that we need to practice in our daily life because, if we don’t, we could develop diabetes or high cholesterol, or you are just going to be fat. But the only bad side of the sports is that we could get injuries that will affect our daily life.
